Why Email Deliverability Auditing is Essential (2024+ Rules)
In 2024, Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft enforced strict authentication mandates for all sending domains. Senders who fail SPF or DKIM alignment, lack a DMARC policy, or send over unencrypted connections face immediate rejection or spam folder routing.
- DMARC Alignment: Your friendly "From" header domain must cryptographically match the domain in your DKIM signature or SPF return-path.
- One-Click Unsubscribe: Marketing and bulk messages must include
List-Unsubscribe: <https://...>andList-Unsubscribe-Post: List-Unsubscribe=One-Click. - Transport Layer Security (TLS): Email hops must be encrypted with TLS 1.2 or TLS 1.3 to prevent man-in-the-middle tampering.
- Reverse DNS (PTR): The connecting server's IP address must resolve to an authentic hostname with matching forward DNS.
